Rose dropped me off on the St Marks Rail trail around 7:30 am. It was cold. 34 degrees. Within a half mile I stopped to put on more clothes. The sun was out and I looked forward to the spots that were not shaded for a change. It was a very well maintained, beautiful trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About 15 miles into the ride I heard a metallic ping and looking at my rear wheel, it had a pretty bad wobble. I assumed I broke a spoke. But I had broke the hub flange again. This is my second hub. The first one broke at 3200 miles. This one broke at 2400 miles. I removed my brake pads so I could continue to ride and got as far as Sopchopy. I have now ridden a total of 5,663 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping is allowed in the town park here. After setting up camp, I called Rose. She agreed to bring me the rear rim from one of her bikes after she was done working then camp with me for the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She arrived around 6:30. Food was the first thing on our list. We were both hungry. Hamoknockers BBQ was only a few miles away so we went there. Afterwards I put my new tire on the rim and surprisingly everything lined up perfectly. I thought I would at least have to adjust the index shifting. But even that was working properly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rose left early this morning to go to work. I am waiting in the sunshine for it to warm up to at least 40 degrees before I head out. It’s a beautiful sunny day so I know it will get warm. While waiting I thought I would give this brief update. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
