I had a little breakfast at the hotel. They had a decent amount of food. My favorite being sausage gravy and biscuits. They were lucky it was too early for me to be hungry! I did take a banana and two hard boiled eggs for later though. I should of done laundry at the hotel. I was appalled at the way my shirt smelled when I put it on. I guess I didn’t notice until I had had my shower. I always have a set of town clothes i keep clean. I never wear them riding there strictly for in town stops. I have to say though after putting on the clothes I had worn for 13 days it was tempting to keep wearing my good clothes. I guess rinsing them out in creeks isn’t doing as good as job as I thought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was on the trail by 7:45. By 8 I was riding through the first of many little thunderstorms for the day. They seemed to keep the temperature down though and that was nice. One particularly bad storm with lots of lighting I took shelter under a wide overhang of a store that was no longer in business. The thunder was so loud it rattled the glass in the antique wooden framed windows that made up the front of the abandoned store. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Mostly it was an uneventful day. I ate my banana and eggs at 10. Around 1 I cooked Vienna sausages and had a peanut butter wrap. There was some real pretty views but with it being rainy I didn’t take many pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I camped a little farther down the trail. Somewhere between Gambier and Mount Vernon.
