I reached Maine yesterday! (Sep 21st) My 7th state. The weather is perfect. The mornings have been cool almost chilly. This morning was 39 degrees. I stayed two nights at the campground. I hadn’t had a zero day in a while and I felt like one, also this area is so pretty I don’t want to go through it too quickly.
From Gorham to Bethel was a road ride. It was a quiet back road. It was hilly but just little ups and downs.
I need fuel for my stove. There is a few sporting goods stores in Bethel I will stop at. This close to the Appalachian Trail fuel shouldn’t be hard to find.
It’s been years since I’ve been to Maine but your pictures and descriptions make me want to visit again. Nice to take a day and enjoy your surroundings!
