I took my coffee down to the creek this morning. I’ve been out a week today and this might be the most perfect morning so far. Its just chilly enough to appreciate the bit of warmth the hot cup of coffee offers.. I sat on a rock and watched as sunlight slowly reached the creek bed.

By 8:00 I was on my bike and headed out. It is exciting to be some place new. Around every curve and over every hill is unknown to me. I think the anticipation is what got me out of my hammock so early. It was a pretty steady uphill most the day . I definitely worked up a sweat. About 11 I found a water source that was too perfect to pass up. I filled my both my bottles and had a snack before continuing.

I got to the Panhandle trail around 3 but since it was so late I decided to stay on The montour trail for what I thought was 2 more miles and camp for the night. It turned out to be 6 miles! And they were uphill. At least in the morning it will be downhill.
For brunch I splurged with the money in the coffee fund!

Darn you Matt. Now I want fried chicken. That looks good!
